My low rates mean I am very busy and have limited time for phone calls. Please read through my entire site, as it will make you more informed for our first conversation. If you do not have time to read my website I will not have time to help you.

I base my training on pack leadership and dog psychology, not treat training. The dog does what you ask because you are the pack leader and to keep you happy, not for a treat. Treats are still a part of the dog's life, just not the main motivating reason for proper behaviour.

Here is the amazing part - Rates are for a private, tailored to your dog, lesson outside, not a group lesson with unruly dogs in a busy store with many distractions.

Once you have booked my initial consultation please pay a $50.00 deposit via Interac to glen@thedogtalker.ca. The $50.00 will be forfeit if less than 24 hours is given for a cancellation. The deposit will be applied to your next session when proper cancellation notice is given.

Rates for Dog Training:

My initial consultation and lesson will be 1.5 hours at my home. I do the first consultation on the weekend and some weekday mornings. During the first visit I will assess your dog’s needs, create communication between your dog and I, and suggest the best training environment for your dog.

Any home lesson or off my site lessons will be a flat fee of $160.00. This will cover drive time(depending on location) and include a 1.5 hour lesson.

I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement. No shock or prong collars are used - no corporal punishment of any kind is used on my best friends. When used correctly these tools have their place, as a last resort. Too often the operator of the tool is not trained and the dog suffers unnecessarily. I witness it on a regular basis.

Drop Off and Pick Up Times for Adventure Walks and Dog Sitting:

My drop off and pick up times are flexible. If you need service outside the posted times, I will try to accommodate you. Rather than a set fee per hour, I have decided to rely on people's goodwill and accept tips for good service. My goal is to keep every aspect of my business stress-free and affordable.
